March is Women in History Month

March is Women in History Month.  2015 is the 35th Anniversary of the National Women in History Project.   This years theme is "Weaving the Stories of Women's Lives." In celebration of this landmark, the NWHP has chosen 9 outstanding women as the 2015 Honorees who have contributed to "writing women back into history."

Each March the Upper Perkiomen High School students are asked to participate in the Women in History Essay contest.  The students are asked to choose a women who made a difference in history or in their lives and is pertinent to the theme.  The Upper Perk BPW Women in History Committee will read all of the essays and choose the top 3.  During the dinner meeting on April 13th the 3 students will read their essays to our members as a celebration for Women in History Month.
