Celebrating Excellence: Nominate Our 2026 Women of the Year & Employer of the Year

At the core of the Upper Perkiomen Business and Professional Women’s Club is a clear mission: to achieve equity for all women in the workplace through advocacy, education, and information. Each year, we take the time to look within our community and honor those who are actively living out these values.

We are officially opening nominations for our annual Woman of the Year and Employer of the Year citations. All Upper Perkiomen BPW members are highly encouraged to submit a nomination for a peer or local business that deserves this special recognition.

Here is everything you need to know to get your submissions in before the August 9, 2026 deadline. 

Woman of the Year

This citation honors a member who has contributed most to the advancement of the objectives and ideals of our local chapter. We look for someone who works to elevate standards, promote professional interests, develop cooperation, and extend opportunities among all business and professional women.

Your nomination email must include:

  • Name of the nominee

  • Number of years as a BPW member

  • Local, District, State and National offices held

  • Employment details: Name and location of employer, nature of the business or profession, and job title

  • Education history

  • Names of other clubs or associations with which the nominee is affiliated

  • A full description of the contributions the nominee has made to advance the objectives of BPW

Employer of the Year

True progress requires great partners. This award recognizes the business firm or employer who has contributed the most to the employment, advancement, and professional recognition of women.

Your nomination email must include:

  • Name and address of the employer or firm

  • Nature of the business

  • Number of women presently employed

  • Number of women hired during the last calendar year

  • Number of women advanced to more important positions during the last calendar year

  • Names and brief job descriptions of the women promoted to key positions during the last calendar year

How to Submit Your Nominations

The selection committee—composed entirely of past Woman of the Year recipients—will meet to judge all submissions on August 10, 2026, immediately following our Summer Board Meeting.

Important Notice: Submissions will not be accepted in person at the Summer Board Meeting. All nominations must be received digitally by the deadline to be considered.

  • Deadline: Submissions must be received no later than August 9, 2026.
